Hello, New Bringer of Awesome.

Simply Kimberley was launched in December 2013 and provides hand-crafted vacation experiences in Kimberley, BC. At that time we had one little condo and three old-school vans. Fast forward over the following 12 years, and we're now running a fleet of five passenger vehicles: two mini-buses (24 and 16-passenger), two Ford Transit vans (14 and 11-passenger) and an Executive SUV.

A considerable part of our success has been our hands-on connection to our client groups. Nothing makes our clients happier than the smiling face of a professional and personable driver when they step through the arrivals door or roll up to have their golf clubs loaded by one of our awesome operators.

Job Overview: We want to add the right person to our team. We are searching for an experienced, part-time driver (some full-time days) starting in mid-late May and running through to September 2025. The driver's position reports directly to Resort Tours and Transportation owner, Tod Caton. Summer is the busiest of our seasons and it is super fast-paced during peak operations weekly. Thursday to Sunday is peak time with our golf groups, wedding charters and corporate clients.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Computer literacy and hands-free access to your mobile phone to connect with client groups and stay in contact with dispatch. Charter jobs are shared via Google Docs.  

• Pick up one of our fleet vehicles at our base in Kimberley, pick up clients arriving 5-10 minutes early and happily deliver clients as requested on the schedule. 

• Loading and unloading skis, golf clubs, and personal bags into rear luggage storage. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and have the physical ability to safely get into the back of the buses. 

• Pre-trip and post-trip inspections, cleaning of the van/bus, re-fueling and washing at the car wash.

• Representing our brand at each step of the way with our client groups.  

• Driving jobs range in length from 2 hours to 10 hours and abide by the Commercial Vehicle Drivers Hours of Service Regulation.

Requirements:

• Class 4, 2 or 1 driver's license with professional driver abstract N (available online). 

• Clean criminal record check with vulnerable sector > PVICS. This is available in 5-7 days from Kimberley RCMP detachment. 

• Ideally our new hire will be Kimberley-based vs. Cranbrook-based. We have many last-minute jobs that pop up and breaks in the day between movements. 

• Hospitality experience to pair with a smiling face and a great attitude is critical.

Remuneration:

• Drivers become employees of Simply Kimberley and are paid monthly on payroll including 4% vacation pay. 

• Wage is on a per-hour or per-job basis. Our current hourly rate is $32/hour and with gratuity added on, is usually in the $35-$45/hour behind the wheel. 

• We pay well and we expect a lot.
