Hello, New Bringer of Awesome.

Simply Kimberley launched in Dec 2013 providing hand-crafted vacation experiences to Kimberley, BC. At that time we had one little condo and three old-school vans plus a cargo trailer. Fast forward over the following 11 years and we're now running a fleet of five passenger vehicles; two mini-buses (24 and 15-passenger), two Ford Transit vans (14 and 11-passenger) and an Executive SUV.

A huge part of our success has been our hands-on connection to our client groups. Nothing makes our clients happier than the smiling face of a professional and personable driver when they step through the arrivals door or roll up to have their golf clubs loaded by one of our awesome drivers.

Job Overview: We're looking to add an experienced, part-time to full-time driver starting mid-May to Sept 2024. The driver's position reports directly to Simply Kimberley / Resort Tours and Transportation owner, Tod Caton. Summer is the busiest of our seasons and is super fast-paced from Thursday to Sunday with golf groups.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Computer literacy and hands-free access to your mobile phone to connect with client groups and stay in contact with dispatch. Charter jobs are shared via Google Docs.  

• Pick up one of our fleet vehicles at their place of storage in Kimberley, pick up clients at the appropriate time and deliver clients as requested.

• Loading and unloading skis, golf clubs, and personal bags into rear luggage storage. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and have the physical ability to get into the back of the buses. 

• Pre-trip and post-trip inspections, cleaning of the van/bus, re-fueling and washing at the car wash.

• Representing our brand at each step of the way with our client groups.  

• Driving jobs range in length from 2 hours to 12 hours and abide by the Commercial Vehicle Drivers Hours of Service Regulation.

Requirements:

• Class 4, 2 or 1 driver's license with a clean professional drivers abstract N (available online). 

• Clean criminal record check with PVICS (available in 5-7 days from Kimberley RCMP detachment).

Remuneration:

• Drivers become employees of Simply Kimberley and are paid monthly on payroll including 4% vacation pay. 

• Wage is on a per-job basis and is generally in the range of $30-$35/hour worked when auto-gratuity is added on.

• We pay well and we expect a lot.
